Everyone deserves
a voice.
Empowering Communication
for All
When their device can't come with them,
what can your venue offer?
For a non-speaking child, their AAC device is their voice. It's how they ask for a snack, say they are scared, or tell their parents they are having the best day ever.
For families of AAC users, destinations like water parks, zoos, fairs, and theme parks present real problems. Glare makes screens unreadable. Water destroys expensive devices. Batteries die. And crowds raise the risk of loss or theft.
Most families quietly decide it's not worth it and they stay home.

You never sees the families who chose not to come.
You don't get a survey response or a negative review. You just don't get their business. And without knowing this gap exists, there's no reason to fix it.
The solution isn't another piece of technology. It's the opposite.
The solution is a simple, reliable tool that works everywhere your guests go.
WAYS to Communicate designs, develops, and delivers durable water-resistant communication boards customized specifically for your venue. Your team can offer the easy-to-use boards to families when they arrive, so they can use them throughout their visit.
-
No screen to wash out in the sun

-
No worrying about loss or theft

Who We Are
WAYS to Communicate was founded by Rebecca Stroschein, a certified speech-language pathologist who focuses on helping non-speaking individuals find their voice. Every board we design reflects her expertise with evidence-based vocabulary, intentional symbol selection, and layouts built for real-world use, even for those who may never have used a board before.
We handle design, production, and delivery, and produce a brief staff orientation guide so your team feels confident from day one.
Every board we make also carries a genuine belief that everyone deserves a voice.
All you need is a willingness to open your doors wider.

What is AAC?
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. These are the tools that help non-speaking or minimally speaking individuals express themselves, from high-tech speech-generating devices and American Sign Language, to simple picture boards.
They are used across a wide range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, apraxia of speech, aphasia, traumatic brain injury, and ALS. Users span every age group. And for all of them, their communication system is their voice.
Venues We Serve

Why Choose Us
Welcome a broader community
For families of AAC users, these venues have long felt out of reach. When you are the one that solves that problem, they find you and they tell all their friends.
Build lasting loyalty
A family that finally feels welcome buys season passes, brings grandparents, and refers their friends. Genuine inclusion earns trust that no promotion can replicate.
Give every guest a safer
day
When a non-speaking guest can communicate with your staff at a food stand, with a lifeguard, or at guest services, everyone wins.
